Camps and Clinics

We offer a series of clinics each summer to help athletes of all abilties to feel more comfortable in open water and have an opportunity to do some course previews on unfamiliar territory. Clinics are generally 3 - 4 hours long and cover skill basics.

If you are interested in more indepth coaching than provided by a half-day clinic please check our coaching page for more information.

July 23 - Open Water Swim Clinic

These clinics are designed to give every swimmer, whether novice or experienced, an opportunity to swim the course for Tri Santa Cruz, the Dip and Dash Aquathlons or longer course events. or just improve your open water skills and get more comfortable in the water. You'll get a practice swim on the course, tips and techniques for better swimming.

Focus is on swimming skills and getting comfortable in open water. Learn how to sight for course accuracy, get in and out of your wetsuit, drafting, entering and exiting the water. Good for all levels of swimmers or triathletes looking to improve their swims. Its a great way to meet new training partners!

This year we have one stand-alone OWS Clinic only July 23 where the focus will be on entry and exit skills, drafting, sighting, equipment, and increasing comfort in the open ocean.
